A few days ago on my walk, this stone caught my eye. It was unique, and upon further inspection, I was fascinated with the name, Amysette. I have encountered many names, but this was a first. Amysette was young when she passed away, only 32 years old. Of course, I had to investigate!

Based on her tombstone, Amysette was born on November 20, 1846. The 1870 census indicates she was born in Indiana to Joel and Rachael Bennett. She married Harry S. Glass on November 9, 1871 in Decatur County, Indiana. A death record proves Amysette and Harry had one daughter in 1874 named Cora Pearl Glass. Amysette’s death is recorded on the tombstone as November 12, 1878.
